required shopping
I am in the market for a catchall jewelry dish. I also have a 15 percent off Anthropologie card I received for my birthday. Coincidence? I think not.
I've re-purposed small dishes in my main bathroom to hold my jewels (I use that term loosely). I want to do the same in our master bath and pull in the aqua from our bedroom.
Here are some lovely options:
I am under the gun--my coupon expires end of August. I guess I know what is on my honey-do list for this weekend!

Also, I need a hand towel in there.

bargains: fall looks under $50
I've been complaining that summer is coming to an end and pools will be closing soon. Then I got Ruche's Look Book by email and discovered the adorable cool-weather styles. See what we all have to look forward to? I gave myself a good talking to and quit my whining.
How can you not feel better after seeing these prices? Every item is under $50.
Now, if I could just get my hair to look like the model's, all would be right with the world.

thank you, thank you very much
I've been pouring over Shutterfly trying to pick out a thank you card design to order my free set I've got coming to me. Help!!?!?!?
Here's the short list... for your convenience, I've put them in to categories: flowers, by the sea, geometric and colorful, holiday. Let the voting to begin!
1) Flowers - This category has many entries but only one can win!
4) Holiday... the dark horse, the outsider.

2) By the sea... only one but still a contender.
3) Geometric and colorful... in this corner: wheels and in this corner: plus signs.
4) Holiday... the dark horse, the outsider.
I am always thinking ahead so that is why I am considering the snowman for holiday thanks. Decisions! Decisions!

joanie
I am obsessed with Mad Men. Who isn't? Aside from the fantastic writing, it has cooler than cool fashion.
Let's dress ourselves, Joanie-style...

diy: car tracks shirt
Easy DIY project for a little boy (or tough girl) in your life. Car track shirt or onesie!
What you need:
-fabric paint
-pre-washed ironed shirt
-scrap material for testing
-various cars with good tire track tires
-pan/dish for paint
What to do:
1) Gather materials.
2) Pour fabric paint into pan or dish.
3) Roll car wheels through paint. Test on scrap material by "driving car" over fabric for desired effect.
--NOTE: I found that lifting the back or front of the car so only one set of wheels touched the fabric worked best. My car was a Hot Wheel, 89 cents at Target, but a bigger car or truck would be awesome. Just experiment!
4) Once you have worked out your "kinks," apply car tracks to shirt in random "skid" designs.
This would be a great project for a little one to do, if he or she is coordinated enough. My guy is too little at 14 months but see what you think!
I only had black paint but brown would be fun on a colored shirt for a good muddy look.
Post or email (littlehappycamper@gmail.com} a picture if you try it out. Enjoy!

get your spooky on
I just rounded up some great Halloween tools to create a spooky holiday card for your ghoulish pals.
I am feeling very festive for Halloween this year. I think because my little guy is going to actually be able to toddle up to a house and look adorable in his tiny costume.
On that note, let's get spooky!
Boo!

I've often thought about taking my Amy Butler craft paper and modge-podging it to a wall in my house. Now, I don't have to!

so gifted...
I am talking gift cards, folks. I am clinging tightly to two I received for my recent b-day: J.Crew and Ann Taylor Loft. Just as I did when I was a kid on my back-to-school shopping trip, I will be weighing all my options and carefully choosing how to spend them.
Here are some thoughts...
Could I actually afford these items without using my own hard-earned cash? No, but a girl can dream, right?
Here are some thoughts...
{Tissue ribbon cardigan from J.Crew}
{Signature black leggings from J.Crew}
{Love-me-knot suede platform heels from J.Crew}
{Grosgrain tie and flower tee from Ann Taylor Loft}

you're my inspiration
I've got this awesome box that housed an even awesome-er birthday gift. I can't get rid of it. So, I'm gonna have to diy it. I've got some ideas...
Stay tuned!
{Kate Spade clutch box. Forgive the quality--camera phone!}

a seat for my honey bun's buns
Breaking news... Amy Butler has a new pattern out, Honey Bun Pouf, and says this about it "great for the kid's room, extra seating, meditation..."
And this thread is new, too! Look at the box it's in. See more in my next post about obsessions with pretty boxes.

it's off to work i go
When I sit down to blog, email or post new Etsy designs (or even just shop online--I call it competitive market research), I like to do so in a cute, inspiring environment.
Here's what gets me in the mood to "work"...

I'd have no excuse not to get SOMETHING done if I was using this cool laptop table...

let's get organized, organized!
My craft area is in dire need of some cleaning/organization. Since I started my Etsy shop, it has become a disaster area. A crafting twister has come through and tossed bits of fabric, thread, Steam-a-Seam and paper about everywhere.
I need some inspiration:
1) Here's what I love about Martha. Not only does she have an "Organization" section on her Web site--she has "100 Easy Organizers."

{Craft cupboard from Martha Stewart}
2) There's never a time I don't look to Target for some help. itso, a storage and organization line, has a cool "builder" on Target's Web site that allows you to plan your space with their system including colors of your room, flooring and their materials.
{itso stinking cute polka dot fabric bin from Target}
3) May I have this office please?
4) Feeling ambitious? Make a project table yourself.
{Do-it-yourself plans from Knock-off Wood}
Or, make 107 storage/organization pieces yourself. Knock-off Wood is crazy cool!
You know you have too many projects on your plate when a project includes a "project table."

girls weekend con't
After breakfast, it was spa time. Facials, massages, ahhh...
Then lunch here:
{Flannery's on Washington}
Back to the hotel, The Roberts Mayfair. Made famous by Cary Grant, first hotel to put chocolate on your pillow.
Did some one say "rooftop pool?"
{Relaxing by the pool.}
Dinner at Lucas Park Grille.
{Pinot Noir, pork chops, scallops. Delicious.}
On to The Side Bar.
{Patio and live music.}
Closed the bar! Fantastic day.
